FLUKER VOTED SUN BELT OUTDOOR WOMEN’S MOST OUTSTANDING FIELD PERFORMER

NEW ORLEANS –Sun Belt Conference outdoor track and field end of season award winners were announced Friday by the league office, and University of South Alabama junior Autavia Fluker was voted Women's Most Outstanding Field Performer. She was named the conference women's field athlete of the week three times during the 2019 outdoor season. 
 
Fluker collected 18 team points at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championship with a victory in the shot put and a second-place finish in the hammer throw. She broke her own Jaguar shot put record with a 16.22m (53-02.75) throw at the Triton Invitational earlier this season. Her 60.56m (198-08.25) hammer throw at the Florida Relays was the second-longest in the conference this season and ranks third on the all-time USA performance list.
 
Fluker is one of 10 Jaguar student-athletes who qualified to compete in the NCAA East Preliminary Region meet May 23-25 in Jacksonville, Fla.
