-Tré Young and Tyrone Legette accounted for the team's two interceptions, with the former breaking up another pass as well.

Head coach Steve Campbell
On the team's performance in the scrimmage: "I think we made it out healthy, that was positive. We have a lot of young guys and today's reps were good reps; we learned a lot. I thought we made strides defensively, we tackled better and we got off the field on third down. Offensively I don't think we put any balls on the ground. We need to create more explosive plays, right now we're not explosive enough. I think we made progress, but we still have a long way to go. This spring, every day is a big day."
On Jaguar running backs: "We had a couple of good runs today. I need to watch the film, none of the guys really stick out in my mind right now. Tra had a couple of good runs when he popped it up in there, be we couldn't get the perimeter run game going. Defensively they did a good job of running sideline to sideline and getting guys on the ground."
Junior RB Tra Minter
On the improvement in the offense the last week: "The offense improved a lot, we have to keep taking coaching and do the little things and we'll be good. We did pretty good today."
On the team's running backs: "We had a pretty good week at practice, a lot of guys ran hard and took coaching. We did a lot of good things, I like our running backs right now."
On being a veteran leader at the position: "I am just out here leading and keeping the guys encouraged. I am trying to make sure we do the little things like keeping the guys up on the sideline, things that will win championships. I try to lead by example and do the little things that people don't see."
On the running backs contribution to the offense being more physical this year: "We can always progress hitting the hole, making jump cuts and making guys miss. Overall, I think we did a pretty good job of that today."
Junior DL Jeffery Whatley
On the defensive performance in the scrimmage: "We just had to come out and execute. Coach talked all week about just lining up and playing ball, I feel like it is on us as a defensive line — since we have the most veterans on the team — to line up and play the next play when things go wrong and if something goes good for us line up and play the next play. Overall, we have to tackle a bit better and just execute."
On getting a fourth-down stop to end the day: "That was big because late in the game something may happen, either the ones or the twos are going to be on the field and someone will need to step up and make a play. It doesn't matter who it comes from, whether it's a senior or a freshman, we just have to make a play."
Up next: The final week of spring practice opens with a two-hour workout that is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
