GULF SHORES, Ala. – The University of South Alabama women's golf team remained second after shooting a combined 302 Saturday on the second day of the Bama Beach Bash at the Gulf Shores Golf Club. The team has carded a total of 605 (+29) through two rounds.
Lexi Worrell and Julie Hovland shot a 2-over-par 74 on the day and are tied for fifth individually.

-USA holds a 4.31 (+25) average on par-4 holes and has played 114 holes at even-par to tie for the lead in the 13-team field. The Jaguars rank third in par-5 scoring (5.28, +14).
-Caroline Berge is tied for first with 26 holes played at even-par. The sophomore is even on par-3 holes and is tied for sixth individually in the category. She also ranks among the top 20 in par-4 and par-5 scoring.
-Hovland and Siti Shaari are tied for the lead in par-4 scoring with identical 4.06 (+1) averages. Both sophomores are in the top five overall with 24 holes played at even-par.
-Worrell is the only Jaguar to rank in the top 20 in all five statistical categories. The senior is currently under on par-5 holes (4.90, -1) and is tied for fourth individually. She has played 24 holes at even-par and carded two birdies in the second round.

On today's round: "It was difficult; it was windy. The course is getting firmer and drier, so it's just tough to score. We did a pretty good job managing it, but still made some big numbers or we'd be right there in the lead."
On Worrell's performance: "She's just playing good. She's figuring it out as a senior. The course fits her well. She's from Pensacola, so they're conditions she's familiar with. The course plays into her strengths and she's taking advantage of it."
