QUOTES FROM COACH BRUESKE
On today's meet:Â "The javelin is normally a strong event for us. These guys have been working hard and not able to compete during the indoor season. They were itching to compete and they all showed promise today. There are definitely some things we need to work on still, but it is early and we will get better."
Â
On Thomas' performance: "Halee had a solid opener. Her javelin was not bad and she hit a big personal best in the hammer throw. She is continuing to develop into a two-event, point-scoring threat for us. Versatile athletes that can score in more than one event is something we need to have to win a Sun Belt championship. I think Halee is headed in the right direction, she just needs to keep working hard."
