NEW ORLEANS – University of South Alabama track and field junior Autavia Fluker was named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, as announced Wednesday by the league office.
Fluker's 18.50m (60-08.50) effort at Samford's Bulldog Invite on Friday was the third-best weight throw mark in school history and the best in the Sun Belt this season.
The Bessemer, Ala., native also finished second in the shot put event with a 15.15m (49-08.50) throw.
The Jaguars are set to close the indoor season Feb. 18-19 at the 2019 Sun Belt Indoor Track and Field Championship in Birmingham, Ala.
