THIS WEEKEND'S GAMES
South Alabama is 14-0-3 in Sun Belt Tournament games since 2013. The Jaguars advanced on penalties in the semifinals of the 2013 (Arkansas State) and 2015 (Appalachian State) tournaments, and lost on penalties in the semifinals last year (Texas State).

USA had a 100% home record (7-0) for the first time since 1998 and fourth in school history. The seven wins are the second-most in a perfect home season (1997).

The Jags lead the Sun Belt with 10 shutouts, which are tied for fourth-most in school history. The 10 regular-season clean sheets are tied for first in the USA record books with 2000 and 2014.

Eight of the team's shutouts have come in the last 10 games.

South Alabama has won five of the last six Sun Belt regular season championships.

The only previous meeting between the two schools in the Sun Belt Tournament was in the 2014 semifinals, which ended in a 3-0 victory for the Jaguars behind a brace from Rio Hardy. Two days later, USA won the tournament over Troy.

USA is 65-11-7 in all games against Sun Belt teams since the start of the 2013 season.

Under head coach Richard Moodie, the Jaguars are 7-1-5 in overtime games, including 3-0-2 this season.

USA has scored three or more goals nine times this season, fourth most in school history.

Justice Stanford is second in the conference in GAA (0.61) and first in shutouts (8). Her clean sheet against Little Rock was the 32nd of her career to move into third place by herself in Sun Belt history.

Briana Morris, who provided the game-winning goal in the regular-season finale to clinch the title, has a conference-best 14 goals and 30 points this season. She currently ranks fourth in goals per game (0.78), tied for seventh in goals and 11th in points in USA's single-season history.

Morris' goal total is tied for the second-most in a regular season since 2009.

Gracie Wilson has 15 points this season, the most by a Jaguar freshman since Jemma Purfield had 17 in 2015.

Wilson ranks tied for second in the league with seven assists, and seventh in points. In only Sun Belt games, she is third in points (11) and tied for third in goals (4) and assists (3).

MOODIE'S QUOTES ON THIS WEEKEND'S GAMES
On the upcoming weekend: "We're excited to be in the tournament. I never really see the advantage of being the first seed; I think that is pushed to the side now because it's anybody's game now. There are loads of upsets happening around the country right now in tournaments and we have to make sure it's not us. We'll go in there knowing it's a one-and-done and we'll give it everything we've got."

On having a week and a half between games: "Everyone will share that concern, then again, if we had games this week, everyone would have the concern that we're playing too much. We're just wired to play anytime, anyplace. If we have to move our last game of the season to Sage Park to win a championship, we're going to move to Sage Park and not make any excuses. It's just too easy to find excuses. It's all positive for us; a week and a half off is amazing. We've had a chance to get some players with nagging injuries back and healthy. I've had a chance to actually coach them for the first time in a while."

On facing Georgia Southern again: "Firstly, we got a bit lucky and scored two goals off set pieces. They had one that was called offside that I don't think was offside. The result and scoreline don't really tell the whole story. They're a very good team and well coached. We just need the right mentality. We scored two goals off set pieces; we didn't break them down, and they scored a goal that shouldn't have been disallowed. We respect everybody and are no longer the No. 1 team in the conference; that's all in the past. We need to have the mentality of, we remember what happened last year and want to do better. It's one game at a time, one day at a time for us."
