THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Matt Luther
On the second round overall… "We did a better job of managing not making big numbers. We didn't make as many birdies as yesterday and we let that get to us, but this is what a bad round for us should look like. We hit some bad shots, didn't make safe putts, and shot 10 over. That was instead of doing something stupid and making a bunch of doubles and shooting 10 over."
On Hovland's day two performance… "She's doing all the right things and getting a lot better. This is a round that last year would have turned into a 78 or 79 for her and she managed it and fought her way back to 73, which was fantastic."
On how the team plans to approach the final round… "We talked about expectation management and attitude. We certainly aren't trying to make bogeys but we know we are going to make them. How we respond to them matters. We need to continue to do what we do well even when we don't start out very well."
