SURPRISE, Ariz. – University of South Alabama men's tennis juniors Loic Cloes and Clement Marzol defeated a duo from Ohio State in straight sets Friday for their second victory in as many days at the 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships.

DOUBLES
- Cloes and Marzol beat Ohio State's Kyle Seelig and Alex Kobelt in the quarterfinals of the consolation draw.

NOTES
- The two will face Thomas Laurent and Joshua Charlton from Oregon in the consolation semifinals.
- Cloes and Marzol have now won multiple matches at all three tournaments they have participated in during the fall season.
- Seelig and Kobelt were the third seed in the tournament's main draw.

THEY SAID IT

On the match on Friday: "We almost played a perfect match.  We served so solid and didn't get broken once.  We hit the right targets and played aggressive at the net. I think OSU won no more than 12 points on our serves.  Holding serves so easily helped us relax on returns and put pressure on them every game, we knew that eventually we would break; we stayed steady and the break came.  OSU came up big in the last game when we were closing for the match, we were down 0-30 but didn't panic and lined up four solid points.  I was very pleased with how we stayed focused the entire match.  Today was probably our best win of the fall, this OSU team won the All-American.  We have to get ready for tomorrow for another big match."

Up next: The consolation semifinals will be contested on Saturday.
