NEW ORLEANS – University of South Alabama sophomore Caroline Berge received her first career Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Athlete of the Week honor Thursday, as announced by the league office. 

Berge earned her first top-10 finish this season with a 5-over-par 149 in two rounds at the ULM Fred Marx Invitational. She had the highest finish among golfers competing as individuals and tied for eighth overall. 

The Stavanger, Norway native tied for the lead on par-4 scoring (E), carded six birdies, and played 22 holes at even par before the final round was cancelled due to poor weather conditions.

The Jaguars travel to Arlington, Texas, Oct. 22-23 to compete in the UT Arlington Invitational.
