THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Matt Luther
On today's overall performance and the changes between rounds… "We started out great. The course was playing really easy in the morning. Literally between 18 (holes) a cold front came through, which made for a much more difficult golf course in the afternoon. We definitely took advantage of the scoring conditions in the morning and we did a pretty good job of managing difficult conditions in the afternoon.
On how the team managed individual challenges throughout the day… "Just not making any really big numbers in the afternoon when the course was playing harder. If we hit into trouble we made bogey and didn't make double or triple nearly as much as some other teams did."
On what the team talked about and how to regroup for the final round… "We're expecting really difficult conditions tomorrow. It's the same deal: just go along and keep the ball in front of you. We don't have to go out and win tomorrow; we have to go out and let other people make mistakes. We've got to have a positive mindset when things are difficult. That's how you win golf tournaments in tough conditions, just by making a lot of pars."
