THIS WEEKEND'S GAME
South Alabama has bounced back from an 0-4 start to go unbeaten in its last five (4-0-1).

Justice Stanford recorded her 12th career shutout Sunday, putting her one shy of sixth in South Alabama history.

USA has won its last two one-goal games after losing its first three.

In their last 19 games decided by a 1-0 score, the Jaguars are 17-2.

South Alabama is 2-0 in Sun Belt play for the fourth consecutive season.

Jaguar sophomores combined for both game-winning goals last weekend. Kory Dixon notched the game winner Friday against Appalachian State in double overtime, and Briana Morris' goal Sunday was the first of her career.

Dixon is this week's Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week.

USA is 31-5-2 in league games since the start of the 2013 season.

The Jags' 34 shots and 14 shots on goal Sunday vs. Louisiana-Monroe are new season highs in both categories.

Chelsea Followwell, who assisted Morris' goal, is fourth among active USA players with 12 assists.

South Alabama's 34 shots and 14 shots on goal against ULM were both season highs. The 34 attempts were the most by the program since 2014, and the plus-32 shot differential is USA's largest since outshooting Alabama A&M 50-6 in 2013.

After Sunday, USA has scored first and outshot its opponent six times in its last seven contests.

South Alabama has won six straight against Georgia State, outscoring the Panthers 12-1 with five consecutive shutouts over that span.

The Panthers last scored a goal vs. the Jaguars in the 2013 season.

Georgia State is 0-3-1 on the road in 2017 and has yet to score a goal.

South Alabama (1.28, 2nd) and Georgia State (1.30, 3rd) rank in the top three in the Sun Belt in goals against average.

GSU's Siobhan Wilson leads the conference in assists per game (0.60) and Yvonne Ploeg is third in goals per game (0.60).

MOODIE QUOTES ON THE WEEKEND
On getting a little break after back-to-back overtime games: "It comes at a good time but we need to be cautious because the last time we took a long break, we came back with a really flat performance against Murray State. That's something that's definitely in the back of our heads. This week will still be tough for the girls. We're still going to push them really hard. We went to double overtime with Mississippi State and Appalachian State, and we still looked like the more dangerous team in overtime, so that's a good sign for our fitness levels. I'm just glad the game against ULM never went into overtime."

On having a lot of different goal scorers: "I'm happy about it. You always want that one player that's scoring about a goal per game, but we tell the kids it's not how many goals you score, it's how many games you can score in. That's something that needs to stick with them as we go through the season. The fact that we have multiple goal scorers makes us hard to mark. Brianna came off the bench to score a goal, and having girls that can come off the bench and score causes problems for coaches. It's great that we have the whole team contributing. It's good that we're scoring from different areas of the field with different players. We created a lot of chances against Appalachian State, but we just weren't clinical in the final third. Now the discussion is how do we create these chances into goals. We need kids stepping up in practice and getting that killer instinct."

On preparing for Georgia State: "They're a great team that's well coached. Ed (Joyce) has done a great job with them. They've had some hard results, but it's no secret that they've lost good players. They still have a few girls that we need to be concerned about. They have a Dutch girl (Yvonne Ploeg) that showed up on the scoresheet against Appalachian State. App State is a better team than their record would indicate, and the same thing with Georgia State – they've been unfortunate. We were a bit unfortunate getting going. We have to show up and do our game and that's been our focus. Maybe we were overly focused on an Auburn or Florida State and overthinking those games. Having seen them, we've realized we need to focus on our kids. If we show up and they show up, I think we can win the game, but we have to come out and play our best."
