MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama will welcome No. 13 Maryland, No. 16 Arkansas and No. 22 Central Florida to Stanky Field for a round-robin format in which each team is scheduled to play three games in three days.

Arkansas (3-0) and Central Florida (4-0) will square off at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon to kick off the weekend, followed by Maryland (3-0) and South Alabama (4-0) at 6:30 p.m.

UCF will face Maryland at 2 p.m. Saturday before the Jags take on the Razorbacks at 6:30 p.m. Maryland and Arkansas are scheduled for a 10 a.m. start Sunday, while USA and UCF will square off at 2 p.m.

South Alabama left-hander Austin Stephens (0-0) will make his second start of the season in Friday's contest against No. 13 Maryland. Right-hander Ryne Long (0-0) will also make his second start of the year on Saturday against the No. 15 Razorbacks, and freshman left-hander Zach McMullen is scheduled to make his Jaguar debut with the start in Sunday's matchup with No. 22 UCF.

USA swept New Orleans last weekend to open the season, followed by a 7-4 win over Auburn Tuesday at Stanky Field. The Jags lead the Sun Belt Conference in batting average (.328), on-base percentage (.428), hit by pitch (8), sacrifice bunts (5) and sacrifice flies (5) entering the weekend. USA's five sacrifice flies ranks second in the nation behind Baylor's seven. South Alabama is averaging 7.5 runs and 11 hits per game through four contests.

The Jaguar bullpen has earned four wins and a save in four games, while posting a 1.08 ERA in 25 innings pitched. USA relievers have struck out 21 batters and issued just four walks while limiting the opposition to a .202 batting average.

Freshman catcher Jared Barnes enters the weekend as the SBC leader in batting average (.563). Barnes is tied for the league lead in doubles (2) and tied for third in RBI (6). Bud Collura carries a nine-game hitting streak into the weekend after hitting safely in his final five games of 2014, and recording hits in all four Jag contests this season.

USA will face Maryland right-hander Mike Shawaryn (1-0) in Friday's game. Shawaryn allowed three runs on three hits with seven strikeouts and a pair of walks in six inning pitched against Western Kentuky last weekend. The Jags will face Arkansas right-hander Zach Jackson (1-0) in Saturday's contest. Jackson struck out eight and issued two walks while allowing one run on five hits in four innings in a start against North Dakota. UCF has not announced its starter for Sunday's contest with USA.
