NEW ORLEANS – The University of South Alabama football program will play its first afternoon game of the season when it returns to action against Idaho.

It was announced Monday by the Sun Belt Conference office that when the Jaguars and Vandals meet on Saturday, Nov. 7, kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. (CST).  The contest will be broadcast nationally on ESPN3.

The Jags will be off on Saturday and enter the match-up against the Vandals with a 1-2 record in league action, while Idaho is 2-2 going into its next contest at New Mexico State.  It will be the first of five straight conference games for USA to close out the regular season.

In the only meeting between the two schools, the Jaguars earned a 34-10 win in Moscow last season.
