NO. 14 SOFTBALL ROUNDS OUT TOURNAMENT PLAY IN OKLAHOMA THIS WEEKEND [UPDATED]

MOBILE, Ala. –
No. 14/16 University of South Alabama softball travels to Stillwater, Okla., this weekend for three games at the Cowgirl Classic, hosted by Oklahoma State.
 
USA (20-3) faces New Mexico and the host-Cowgirls at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively, on Saturday and concludes the trip with a noon rematch against Oklahoma State. South Alabama will be facing each program for the first time.
 
The Jaguars enter the weekend riding a four-game win streak on the heels of a 2-0 midweek victory over Nicholls State on Wednesday, thanks to Hannah Campbell's second career perfect game and Chloe Rathburn's two-run homer.
 
The Lobos are 8-15 and have won seven of their last nine games this year. Shelbie Franc leads New Mexico at the plate with a .380 average, going 19-50 this season with 10 runs scored. Naomi Tellez leads the club in RBI with 18.
 
Lauren Soles is 2-1 in the circle with a 3.50 ERA, the team's lowest average, and 16 strikeouts in 18 innings.
 
Oklahoma State is 15-9 this year and 3-3 at home. Shelby Davis leads the club at the plate with a .393 average on 35-of-89 batting. Tiffany Mikkelson has 22 RBI.
 
Simone Freeman is 11-4 in the circle with a 1.45 ERA. She has struck out 143 batters to 35 walks in 101 2/3 innings pitched this season.
