NEW ORLEANS | Brooklynn Bockhaus was one of 13 student-athletes from around the league to be named to the All-Sun Belt Community Service Team by the conference office on Monday for the 2025-26 academic year. The program honors student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional dedication to community service.

The All-Sun Belt Community Service Team is an initiative aimed to recognize one student-athlete from each Sun Belt institution who has shown outstanding dedication to community service. Each school is invited to nominate one student-athlete who demonstrates excellence in community service, particularly in the leadership and execution of these efforts.

Bockhaus was a standout community service advocate during her four-year career, amassing more than 250 hours engaging within her community. Her participation encompassed annual youth girls' softball clinics and engaging in the Jags Pen Pal Program to mentor and provide support for local youth girls. Bockhaus was President of a student-led Christian huddle group, volunteered for Ronald McDonald House, led Read Across our City for school-aged children, and participated in a full-scale rehoming for an abused woman and her children along with her teammates.
