MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama men's basketball assistant coach Ronald Nored has left the program to take a position with the Boston Celtics organization, USA head coach Matthew Graves announced Monday.
Nored, who joined the Jaguars coaching staff in April, has accepted a job with the Celtics' Maine Red Claws D-League franchise.
"We're very sorry to see Ron go, but we understand what a wonderful opportunity he has, to work with great people at the highest level of basketball," Graves said. "We wish him nothing but the best and look forward to following his career."
A four-year letterwinner with Butler from 2008-12, Nored came to Mobile after spending one season as the head coach at Brownsburg (Ind.) High School.
