PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Gulf Coast Texans, represented by three University of South Alabama women's soccer student-athletes, repeated as Women's Premier Soccer League Southeastern Conference champions by defeating Alabama Futbol Club in penalties on Saturday.

Jess Oram, Clarissa Hernandez and Florida State transfer Rylee Hart bolstered a top-seeded Texan club that rolled past the Knoxville Lady Force, 3-0, on Friday before downing first-year Alabama FC, which consists of USA student-athletes Tatum Perry, Shawn Meach, Nini Rabsatt-Smith and Alyssa Mayer.

Alabama FC defeated the Georgia Revolution, 2-0, on Friday to advance to the championship match, hosted by the Texans at Ashley Brosnaham Park in Pensacola, Fla.

Commented USA head coach Graham Winkworth, "This weekend has been a joy to attend as coach of South Alabama. The girls from both Alabama FC and the Gulf Coast Texans played with heart, passion and class. I was very proud sitting in the stands watching a very entertaining game of soccer. I am very excited that the girls have been playing a quality level of soccer this summer and cannot wait now for the whole squad to get here for preseason.
