LAFAYETTE, La. – Troy jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, earning the doubles point and a win at No. 1 singles, before eventually going on to defeat the University of South Alabama women’s tennis team 4-2 Friday afternoon at Cajun Courts.
The Trojans tally their ninth straight victory to improve to 13-4 on the season. The Jaguars drop to 12-7.
“It was a tough match today,” said USA head coach

The Trojans recorded the first two points of the contest thanks to a narrow doubles win. Troy’s No. 2 pair struck first with an 8-3 victory before South Alabama answered back when sophomore
