BOSTON – University of South Alabama sophomore
Augustine Rubit has been named to the 2011-12 Lou Henson Preseason All-American team, CollegeInsider.com announced this week.
The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the top Mid-Major player in Division I college basketball.
The Houston, Texas native is the 2011-12 Preseason Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year, a season after being named the 2010-11 Sun Belt Freshman of the Year. He led the league and ranked sixth in the nation in rebounding last season (11.0 rpg).
