TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – University of South Alabama freshman
Blake Gregor (Griffith, New South Wales, Australia) claimed his first singles crown as a member of the men’s tennis program at the Seminole Invitational on Sunday.
His opponent,
Brian Alden of Florida State, took the first set of the final match 2-6. Gregor rallied back the next two sets 6-4, 6-1 to secure the win for the singles ‘B’ draw championship.
“Blake had a great tournament and played well,” said USA assistant coach
Wade Ward. “He is a warrior and he deserved to win today. Overall, Blake had an excellent tournament.”
The Jaguars return to action Oct. 21 for the USTA/ITA Southern Regional Championships in Auburn, Ala.
