MOBILE, Ala. –The University of South Alabama soccer team returns to action this weekend when it hosts two Sun Belt Conference matches at The Cage. USA (3-7-1, 1-1) will take on Florida Atlantic (3-6-0, 2-0) Friday at 7 p.m., and Florida International (5-4-1, 2-0) Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
"Florida Atlantic and Florida International come in tied for first place in the Sun Belt, so we will have a challenging weekend ahead of us,” USA head coach Mike Varga said.
“We played well, in part, last weekend and we will train hard this week and try to keep getting better. The biggest challenge for us is to put full matches together at this point. We can't just play well during parts of the match, we need to sustain a high level of play and I think we are on the verge of doing just that.
“I am confident that we will work hard this weekend and compete. It will be nice to be at home after being on the road for the past couple weekends.”
