Heitling claimed the 3,000 meters Sunday at the Jaguar Invitational, crossing the line in a season-best 10:09.56 time to win the race by a margin of more than 12 seconds. Her mark was the the best in the Sun Belt Conference at that distance over the weekend and ranks fifth in the league this year.
