Competing in the first 6K of her collegiate career, South Alabama’s Laura Labuschaigne picked up her first career meet title Friday afternoon at the Azalea City Classic held at the Grounds of Mobile in the Jags’ season opener.  Labuschaigne finished first out of 39 runners at the event with a time of 21:44.56, which was 22 seconds faster than Tennessee Tech's Micayla Rennick who placed second in the event.  The Durbanville, Western Cape, South Africa, native also led a contingent of four Jags to record a top 10 finish.  The win also marked just the second top 10 finish of Labuschaigne’s career as she also finished sixth at last season’s Sun Belt Championships.
