Rubit scored 22 points in each of his two games last week and averaged 8.5 rebounds while shooting 51.5 percent from the floor. He recorded his 10th double-double of the season—and 52nd of his career—in the Jaguars’ 86-78 win over Troy with 22 points and a game-high 10 rebounds; the double-double tied him for first with Terry Catledge on South Alabama’s career list, and he also set a new career high with five assists with just one turnover. Against Texas State, Rubit led the Jaguars with 22 points on 9 of 18 shooting and blocked four shots. Rubit currently stands 12 points away from moving into the Sun Belt’s top 10 career scoring list.
