Purfield was named the Sun Belt Conference Tournament Most Outstanding Player Sunday after leading the Jaguars to their fourth straight championship. Purfield scored a team-high three goals, and accounted for both goals in USA's 2-0 win over Coastal Carolina on Sunday. The brace, her second of the season, came in the second half. She broke the scoreless deadlock in the 57th minute, then put the game away with just over five minutes left. The Jaguar defense held all three opponents scoreless, becoming the first team to do that since North Texas in 2012. Purfield was also named the league's player and defender of the year prior to the commencement of the tournament.
