•   South Alabama has never faced any of the three Regional competitors in the postseason
•   The Jaguars are making the program's seventh appearance at an NCAA Regional, but this season will mark their first time competing at the Baton Rouge Regional
•   All six of South's previous NCAA Regional appearances have come at a host site of an opponent from the Southeastern Conference
•   The Jags have faced an SEC opponent nine times in regional play and hold a combined 1-5 record with the win coming against Mississippi State at the 2013 Mobile Regional
•   South Alabama last played a SEC team in the NCAA Tournament at the 2024 Gainesville Regional (Florida)
•   South will face an opponent from the Atlantic Coast Conference, marking the sixth time the program has faced a member from the league in the postseason
•   The Jaguars have faced Florida State on three occasions and are 1-2 versus the Seminoles, while they are 2-0 against Georgia Tech for a combined record of 3-2
•   This past weekend, South Alabama earned the Sun Belt Conference's automatic bid when it captured the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Championship, its fourth league tournament title and first since 2015, with a 3-2 win over third-seeded Texas State
•   The Jags opened up the tournament with a 13-0, run-rule victory over Southern Miss and then defeated top-seeded ULM, 3-1 in the semifinals

Ryley Harrison was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player after posting a 3-0 record in the circle with an 0.88 earned run average and 25 strikeouts
•   South Alabama outscored its opponents 19-3 in the three games, and as a team held a tournament-best .307 batting average, while the pitching staff compiled an 0.74 ERA
•   The Jaguars continue to be led in the circle by Harrison (18-12, 5 SV), who ranks in the Top 10 in the league in earned run average (fifth – 2.38), innings pitched (second – 197.0), strikeouts (third – 194), strikeouts looking (second – 47), wins (t-third), and is tied for the league lead in saves
•   Harrison has 17 complete games (t-27th in NCAA) and six, complete-game shutouts, which is tied for 13th nationally, this spring

Sydney Scapin holds a 2.65 ERA (10th in SBC) and her .213 opponent's batting average is second lowest in the SBC, as she is also eighth in strikeouts looking (23)
•   As a staff, South Alabama leads the SBC in shutouts (12), which is tied for 15th in the nation, is second in strikeouts looking (88) and strikeouts (335)

Kara Wine leads the club with a .323 batting average, and the freshman has four home runs and 26 RBI on the year
•   The Cantonment, Fla., native led the tournament field with a .625 batting average and drove in three last weekend

Virginia Mambelli is tied for the team lead in home runs (7) with
Olivia Branstetter, and the junior first baseman is batting average .319 with 27 RBI
•   Branstetter (.318) paces the club with 12 multi-hit hit games, and batted .556 at the SBC Championship

Lillie Stagner was outstanding last weekend as the freshman had a pair of home runs to bring her season total to six, and she drove in six runs to give her 28 RBI on the year

Presley Lively (.297) leads the SBC in triples (8) and is tied for second in the nation in the category
