Last Time Out

•  Charleen Elizondo and Brady Keller each recorded personal-best performances to highlight South Alabama Track & Field's weekend, as the Jaguars competed against top competition in California while also turning in strong results at Southeastern Louisiana.

• Elizondo posted one of the top marks in program history on the women's side, placing 48th in the 1500 meters with a personal-best time of 4:28.96 to move into third all-time. She also finished 49th in the 5000 meters in 16:54.82. Emily Miles added a 122nd-place finish in the 1500 meters, clocking 4:34.52.

• Keller continued his strong season in the men's middle-distance events, placing 47th in the 800 meters with a personal-best 1:49.33, improving on his own fifth-place mark in program history. He also placed 60th in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:44.47.

• Jordan Morrison competed in two events, placing 39th in the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.21 and 53rd in the 400 meters in 49.11.

• At Southeastern Louisiana, Samuel Mika led the Jaguars with a victory in the discus, recording a throw of 51.43 meters.

• 64 South Alabama athletes will take on 11 other teams Friday at Samford, including Alabama State, Arkansas State, Chattanooga, Jacksonville State, New Orleans, Samford, Southern Miss, Troy, UAB, and West Georgia.
• The women's hammer throw ranks No. 25 in the country with a top mark of 59.32 meters from Iyana Johnson.

• The Jaguars' javelin unit leads the way at No. 6 nationally behind a group average of 63.05 meters. Reuben Booysen paces the group with a mark of 68.97m, while Jackson Laughlin (63.36m), Dylan Hale (61.96m) and Brody Hamilton (57.90m) provide depth, with all four athletes surpassing 57 meters this season.

• The pole vault group checks in at No. 11 nationally, led by Terek Logan's 5.40m clearance. Will Fredrick (5.35m) and Grayson Venezia (4.95m) continue to bolster one of the conference's deepest units?

• On the track, the 400-meter hurdles squad also ranks No. 11 nationally with a group average of 53.09, led by freshman Nieko Garnes' season-best 51.51. Omari Taylor (53.10), Jadon Thomason (53.88), and Bo Webb (53.89) round out a strong and consistent group.

• In the field events, the hammer throw group sits No. 15 nationally, paced by Booysen (62.08m) and Samuel Mika (61.33m), both of whom have eclipsed 61 meters this outdoor season.

• Additional national rankings include the 110-meter hurdles group at No. 32, led by Thomason's 14.31, along with Kelvin Jones (14.54), Samuel Warriner (14.68), and Diego Andres-Dougan (14.76).

• South Alabama also ranks No. 38 nationally in the high jump, where Jonathan Henderson leads with a 2.15m clearance, supported by Warriner (2.01m) and Nic Glass (1.93m).

• Charleen Elizondo leads the Sun Belt in the 5000 meters with a time of 16:54.82.

• Brady Keller ranks first in the Sun Belt in both the 800 meters (1:49.33) and 1500 meters (3:43.65).
