Notes

  • The Jaguars are coming off an impressive showing at the LSU Opener, where three athletes captured event titles and several others moved up the program's all-time performance list. South Alabama was led by a pair of field event victories from Iyana Johnson and Terek Logan. Johnson continued her strong outdoor campaign with a win in the women's triple jump (12.06m | 39-6.75) and added a runner-up finish in the hammer throw (56.39m | 185-0). Logan cleared 5.25m (17-2.75) to take the men's pole vault title, reinforcing his position among the nation's top vaulters.

  • Following the opening weekend, multiple Jaguars remain ranked among the nation's best in their respective events. Jonathan Henderson is tied for fifth nationally in the high jump (2.15m | 7-0.5), while Reuben Booysen ranks sixth in the javelin (68.97m | 226-3). Logan currently sits ninth in the pole vault (5.30m | 17-4.5), and on the women's side, Kayden Engel is ninth in the high jump (1.75m | 5-8.75).

  • South Alabama will split squads this weekend, sending distance standouts Charleen Elizondo and Brady Keller to the Raleigh Relays. Keller is scheduled to compete in the 1500m on Thursday evening, while Elizondo will run the 10,000m on Friday morning.

  • The remainder of the Jaguars will travel to Tallahassee for the Florida State Relays, where 43 student-athletes are set to compete across sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws, and distance events.
