South Alabama opened the outdoor season with 19 event victories.

In his first meet of 2026, Reuben Booysen claimed titles in both the hammer throw (59.30m) and javelin (68.97m), with his javelin mark ranking second nationally.

The Jaguars own two of the top pole vault marks in the country. Terek Logan leads the nation with a clearance of 5.30 meters (17'4.5"), while Will Frederick ranks second at 5.20 meters (17' 0.75").

Redshirt freshman Jonathan Henderson leads the nation in the high jump (2.15m / 7'0.5"), with Samuel Warriner ranking fifth after a personal-best clearance of 2.01 meters (6'7").

Iyana Johnson ranks third nationally in the hammer throw (59.32m / 194'7") and ninth in the triple jump (12.09m).
- Kayden Engel sits inside the top 10 nationally in the high jump after winning the event last weekend with a clearance of 1.71 meters.
- At last year's LSU Lurline Invitational, Booysen shattered a 21-year-old program record in the men's javelin with a throw of 72.45 meters (237-8).

The field includes Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech, Meridian CC, Mobile, New Orleans, Southeastern Louisiana, Little Rock, and ULM.
- Competition begins with the women's hammer throw at 10 a.m. and concludes with the men's 4x400-meter relay at 4:35 p.m. CT.
