ATHENS, Ga. | No. 11 Georgia put up multiple runs each of the first three innings and Randi Roelling (6-3) held South Alabama hitless as the Bulldogs defeated the Jags, 8-0 in five innings Friday on day one of the 17th Annual Bulldog Classic at Turner Softball Complex.

Key Moments
• Georgia (14-5) jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead on Sarah Gordon's two-out home run to left center (UGA, 2-0), scoring Jaydyn Goodwin (single)
• The Bulldogs added to their lead with some more two-out production in their half of the second as Bailey Lindermuth doubled off the top of the wall in center to plate Emily Digby (UGA, 3-0)
• UGA added its second run of the inning one batter later on a RBI-single to center by Keirstin Roose (UGA, 4-0)
• Goodwin led off the Georgia third with her second hit of the contest and Gordon walked to put a pair on, and with one out, Emma Castorri launched the Bulldogs' second home run of the game, this one to right center (UGA, 7-0)
• Tyler Ellison led off the bottom of the fifth with a solo shot to left center, her sixth of the spring, to end the game (UGA, 8-0)

Presley Lively was the lone Jaguar (11-6) to reach base with her leadoff walk to start the game
• After issuing the walk to Lively, Roelling retired the next 15 Jaguar batters, and in her five innings of work, struck out seven
• Goodwin was 2-for3 with a pair of runs scored, while Gordon reached base twice, scored twice and drove in a pair
• Castorri also drove in three in the win for the Bulldogs
• Three players – Goodwin, Gordon and Ellison – homered for Georgia

• The meeting marked the fifth in the all-time series and the fourth in Athens
• South Alabama had its four-game win streak snapped with the loss
• Lively extended her reached base safely streak to 17 games with a leadoff walk to begin the game, but had her career-best eight-game hit streak come to an end
• In her first 12 outings, Harrison had allowed just 13 earned runs before surrendering eight in the loss
