NEW ORLEANS – South Alabama soccer's Victoria Rocci was named the Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Rocci tallied three assists in the last week of the regular season, posting two against Georgia Southern (Oct. 28) and one against Louisiana Tech (Nov. 1). Her three points played a major role in leading the Jags to winning both matches in their final week of the season, clinching them a spot in the Sun Belt Conference Championship for the 16th consecutive year.

She has contributed two goals and five assists as a key piece of USA's back line, tallying nine points this season. She has started every match in which she appeared.

The sophomore from Vaughan, Ontario, Canada is in her second season with the Jags, totaling 2,340 career minutes.
