MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Soccer defeated Louisiana Tech 2-0 on Sunday at The Cage.
Ava Matherne and
Bonnie Frost marked the Jags' goals.
KEY STATS:
- The Jags totalled 26 shots, 10 corner kicks and seven shots-on-goal.
- In the 66th minute, Ava Matherne made a surging run down the flank, cut outside her defender and buried a strike into the top-center of the net. The goal marked Matherne's first of the season.
- In the 71st minute, Sofia Ferrante sent a corner kick to Bonnie Frost, who then put a header into the goal, marking her first goal of the season and fourth of her career.
- Sierra Giorgio earned her first clean sheet of the season with six saves.
