Daniela Gonzalez of women's basketball is set to represent Colombia in this year's FIBA Women's AmeriCup. Competition begins tomorrow in Santiago, Chile.
The senior from Jamundí, Colombia is not new to the AmeriCup, having competed in 2019, 2021 and 2023.
The AmeriCup consists of 10 teams that are split into two groups. Group A consists of the Dominican Republic, Argentina, Canada, El Salvador and Brazil. Group B consists of Mexico, Colombia, the United States, Chile and Puerto Rico.
The Group Phase of the tournament begins tomorrow, followed by Bracket play beginning July 4. Colombia's full schedule is below, all games being in CT.
- June 28 at 4:40 p.m.: vs. Puerto Rico.
- June 29 at 7:10 p.m.: vs. USA.
- June 30 at 4:40 p.m.: vs. Mexico.
- July 1 at 7:10 p.m.: vs. Chile.
- July 4, TBD: Bracket Play – Quarterfinals.
- July 5, TBD: Bracket Play – Classification/Semifinals.
- July 6, TBD: Bracket Play – Classification/Medal Games.
