SERIES HISTORY
South Alabama has historically dominated this rivalry with the Warhawks. The Jaguars haven't lost a series to ULM since 2007, and over the last 10 years USA holds a record of 17-5. The last time South Alabama played in Monroe, the Jags dropped the series opener then game two, 9-6 and ended game three in seven innings, 12-2 in 2023. The two programs last met in 2024, with the opening two games split, and South taking series on Sunday after 13 innings.

SCOUTING THE WARHAWKS
After taking the series over Eastern Illinois on opening weekend, ULM won two of three over UT-Arlington, and won their lone conference series against Louisiana in April. While the Warhawks have lost every other conference series, they have avoided the sweep against most opponents, stealing a game against JMU, Arkansas State, App State, #20 Troy, and Old Dominion. For midweeks, ULM split a pair with Louisiana Tech, took two of three against Northwestern State, lost two at #3 Arkansas, and split a pair with Little Rock.

WALK 'EM OFF (X2)
Ty Brooks went 3-7 at the plate with one walk, but he made the most of his hits, with all three coming in the clutch for the Jaguars. Brooks' only hit in game one of Saturday's doubleheader against App State came in the seventh inning for a three run home run to clinch the run-rule victory, 12-1. In game two, Brooks stepped up to the plate down 5-3, with two outs, and a runner on second base. Brooks dropped a double into right-center to score a run, then scored the tying run to keep the game alive. Brooks' very next at-bat came with the winning run 90 feet away, where he hit a single up the middle to walk off the Mountaineers twice in one day.
