Women's Tennis Set to Face James Madison in Quarterfinals of Sun Belt Tournament

MOBILE, Ala.- The South Alabama Women's Tennis team will begin their postseason Friday morning, where they will face James Madison in the quarterfinals in Rome, Georgia at 9:00 AM. 

The Jaguars ended their season on a high note, downing Arkansas State at home 4-0 while extending their home match winning streak to 28 straight. South finished the season at 14-5 with a 7-3 record in conference action. Chems Doha Zeghlouli and Delien Kleinhans have shined for South this season, and are looking to make an impact for the Jaguars during their postseason run. South enters the tournament as the #4 seed after another stellar year competing in the Sun Belt. 

James Madison ended their season with a 4-3 victory against Coastal Carolina Saturday afternoon. The Dukes finished the regular season with a 9-12 record, competing well in the Sun Belt going 7-4. The Dukes are looking to ride their recent hot streak as they closed the season on a three-match win streak. James Madison enters the postseason as the fifth seed. 

In their early-season match-up, South fell to the Dukes in Harrisonburg in a 4-1 defeat. South leads the all-time series against the Dukes 3-1.
