MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama softball will continue its current 10-game road trip Wednesday night with a midweek contest at McNeese State. First pitch versus the Cowgirls is set for 6 p.m. at Cowgirl Diamond.

South Alabama (11-9) enters the midweek game at McNeese State after going 2-3 at the Ole Miss Classic last weekend.

Gabby Stagner (.358) is tied for second in the Sun Belt in home runs and tied for 15th in the category nationally with eight this season. The senior first baseman also ranks second in the league in RBI (23) and slugging percentage (.906), and third in OPS (1.347). 

Sidney Lee leads the club with a .390 batting average and her seven doubles are also tops on the team and tied for third in the league. Lee is also fifth in on-base percentage (.510).

Olivia Branstetter (13) is second on the club in RBI, while Amity White and Caitlyn Gavin each have 11. Presley Lively is also batting .296 and the true freshman leads the Sun Belt triples (3), walks (16) and runs scored (22), while her 12 stolen bases are second-most in the league. Six of Lively's hits have gone for extra bases, including an inside-the-park home run, and her three triples are tied for 14th in the NCAA. 

Led by Lively, South currently leads the SBC in walks with 90, and holds four of the top five spots: Lively, Amity White (11, t-second), Stagner (11, t-second) and Branstetter (10, fifth). 

As a team, South also leads the Sun Belt in hit-by-pitch (20) and triples (9), ranks third in the conference in triples (6), runs scored (118) and on-base percentage (.415), and fourth in home runs (14), RBI (77) and total bases (225).
