MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama softball returns home to host Southern Miss in a three-game Sun Belt Conference series this weekend at Jaguar Field. The two teams are scheduled to open the series on Friday night at 6 p.m., with game two of the series set for a 3 p.m. start on Saturday, and the series finale set for Sunday at 1 p.m.
With expected weather in the Mobile area, there is a chance the series schedule may be altered.

South Alabama (15-18, 4-2 SBC) enters the home conference series versus Southern Miss (16-17, 3-3 SBC) after dropping a series at Georgia State last weekend. The Panthers took games one and two of the series before the Jags picked up a 6-1 victory in the finale on Sunday.
Gabby Stagner became the program's career RBI leader as she drove in a pair of runs to give her 140 for her Jaguar career. Stagner (.355) leads the team in several offensive categories as she has eight home runs, holds a .688 slugging percentage and a team-high 31 RBI. She is tied for second in triples (3), and also ranks among the league leaders in home runs (t-sixth), RBI (sixth), slugging percentage (10th) and OPS (10th). Stagner currently ranks second all-time at South Alabama in career home runs (35), just one shy of matching Kamdyn Kvistad's program mark. Stagner has 10 multi-RBI games this season and also leads the team lead in multi-hit games with nine.
Presley Lively is batting .292 and the true freshman leads the Sun Belt triples (4) and is tied for first in walks (21), while her 14 stolen bases are third-most in the league and she is fourth in runs scored (31). Lively has scored two or more runs in nine games this spring, and she also has eight multi-hit games and five multi-RBI games which both rank as second-most on the Jaguar roster. Eight of Lively's hits have gone for extra bases, including an inside-the-park home run. Her four triples are tied for 16th in the NCAA, and as a team South Alabama is tied for 19th nationally with 11.
Sidney Lee (.286) leads the club with nine doubles, which are tied for third in the league.
Olivia Branstetter (.284) is tied for second on the club in RBI with Lee as both have driven in 17, and her 18 walks are second most. Both her and
Megan Davidson also lead the team in HBP with seven each.
Led by Lively, South currently leads the Sun Belt and is tied for 22nd nationally in walks with 124. As a team, South leads the league in triples, is second in hit-by-pitch (30) and sacrifice flies (13), and is fifth in RBI (142). In the circle,
Ryley Harrison leads the club with seven wins and the sophomore holds a 2.95 earned run average, while she has also struck out 66 batters. Last week, Harrison allowed just four runs in her 17.2 innings of work for a 1.58 ERA, striking out 20 batters.
