MOBILE, Ala. | After opening conference play at home over the weekend, South Alabama will head back out on the road and begin a four-game road swing Wednesday night with a midweek contest versus No. 23 Auburn (20-8, 0-3 SEC). First pitch versus the Tigers is set for 6 p.m. at Jane B. Moore Field.

South Alabama (14-15, 3-0 SBC) enters the midweek road match up versus Auburn after sweeping its Sun Belt Conference series with James Madison in Mobile.
On Tuesday,
Gabby Stagner was named the SBC Player of the Week for the third time in her career after leading the Jags to the sweep of JMU. Stagner (.375) leads the team in several offensive categories as she has eight home runs, holds a .763 slugging percentage and a team-high 29 RBI. She is tied for first in triples (3), and ranks among the league leaders in home runs (second), OPS (fifth), slugging percentage (sixth), hits (eighth) and on-base percentage (ninth). Stagner currently ranks second all-time at South Alabama in career home runs (35), just one shy of matching Kamdyn Kvistad's program mark. Stagner has nine multi-RBI games this season and is tied for the team lead in multi-hit games with eight.
Presley Lively is also batting .313 and the true freshman leads the Sun Belt triples (3) and walks (19), while her 14 stolen bases are second-most in the league, as well as her runs scored (30). Lively has scored two or more runs in nine games this spring. Seven of Lively's hits have gone for extra bases, including an inside-the-park home run, and her and Stagner's three triples are tied for 27th in the NCAA. Lively ranks in the Top 50 in the NCAA in runs (T-43rd) and stolen bases (T-44th).Â
Olivia Branstetter (.289) is second on the club in RBI with 16 and her 17 walks are second most.
Sidney Lee (.313) leads the club with eight doubles, which are tied for third in the league.
Led by Lively, South currently leads the SBC and 19th nationally in walks with 114. As a team, South is tied with Marshall for the league-lead in triples (10) and leads the conference in sacrifice flies (13), is tied for second in hit-by-pitch (27), and Top 5 in runs scored (154), on-base percentage (.390) and RBI (115).
