QUOTES
Head Coach Mark Calvi
Overall thoughts:Â They just had one more long ball than us tonight. The three run home run got us. We had chances. We had some opportunities. You know, we left too many guys on base. We swung the bats. We just needed an extra base hit. You know, we needed a multiple-RBI extra base hit, made a couple mistakes, made a mistake on the bases, made a mistake defensively. And you know, our guys played hard. We just came up short. You know, it was a great baseball game. I would have paid to come watch this game. You know, it sucks to lose, but our guys gave everything they had, and we just came up short tonight. I can't fault them for their effort. We didn't execute as well as we needed to, but this is a tough game. We played right with them and faced a bunch of their weekend relievers. We were just a hit short today, getting that big hit when we needed it. We needed someone to come up and hit them, hit a double with men on, and you know, and have a multiple RBI hit that didn't happen, they just hit one more long ball than we did and it mattered a little bit more.
