South Alabama Returns Home to Welcome Alabama in Front of Sold-Out Crowd

MOBILE, Ala. | After being on the road for the last two weeks, South Alabama softball returns home Tuesday night to take on Alabama. First pitcher versus the Crimson Tide is set for 5 p.m.

PROMOTION AND PARKING INFORMATION
- All tickets for Tuesday night's game versus the Crimson Tide have been sold out. Parking pass holders will still be able to park in lot 301. All open parking for softball should enter through entry 3 and park at the Mitchell Center, or be directed to park on the Marching Band Field. Tuesday night's fan promotion will by rally towels

South Alabama (11-14) enters midweek, in-state matchup versus Alabama (19-7) after going 0-4 at the LSU Round Robin over the weekend. The Jaguars have now lost a season-high six-straight games, with three of the two.  The LSU Round Robin wrapped up a 10-game road trip for the Jaguars.

Gabby Stagner (.353) is tied for second in the Sun Belt in home runs and tied for 27th in the category nationally with eight this season. The senior first baseman also ranks fourth in the league in RBI (25), fifth in OPS (1.254), sixth in slugging percentage (.783), and ninth in on-base percentage (.471). Stagner currently ranks second all-time at South Alabama in career home runs (35), just one shy of matching Kamdyn Kvistad's program mark.

Sidney Lee (.309) leads the club with seven doubles, which are tied for seventh in the league. Olivia Branstetter (.292) is second on the club in RBI with 15 and her 16 walks are second most.

Presley Lively is also batting .282 and the true freshman leads the Sun Belt triples (3) and walks (22), while her 12 stolen bases (Top 40 in the NCAA) are second-most in the league, as well as her runs scored (23). Six of Lively's hits have gone for extra bases, including an inside-the-park home run, and her three triples are tied for 21st in the NCAA. 

Led by Lively, South currently leads the SBC and ninth nationally in walks with 108, and holds four of the top 10 spots in the league: Lively, Branstetter (15, fifth), Amity White (14, sixth) and Stagner (13, 10th). As a team, South is second in the league in triples (9) and hit-by-pitch (25), ranks third in runs scored (128), on-base percentage (.403) and RBI (110), and fourth in in runs scored (137)
