BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Four Jaguars earned All-conference honors, and several other athletes scored points to wrap up the final day of the Sun Belt Indoor Championships for the South Alabama Track and Field program at the Birmingham Crossplex.
Three male athletes placed in the top three of their respective events to help the Jaguar men's team finish in sixth place with 73.5 total points. The women had one bronze medalist and earned 19 points to finish in 13th place.
After a dominant day one, Nic Glass closed the heptathlon with strong performances in the final three events, including securing a new personal best in the 1000 meters portion (2:54.14 to take second place and bring home a silver medal. Glass posted a PR point total of 5185 points with three top-three finishes in the long jump, 60 meters, and pole vault to earn runner-up honors and move up to No.3 all-time in the event in the South Alabama record books.
Reigning Sun Belt Track newcomer of the year, Sacha Perrier showed out in a conference meet yet again, clocking a time of 4:08.69 to snag the bronze and move into No.6 in the Jaguar record books in the mile. He claimed a second bronze in the men's 3000 meters at the end of the day, clocking a personal best time of 8:16.93.
Three Jaguars qualified for the finals of the men's 60-meter hurdles, and each turned in solid performances. Kendal White was the one Jag to claim All-conference honors by blazing to a time of 8.01 to earn another bronze medal. True freshmen Jadon Thomason and RJ Torbor finished just outside the top three. Thomason ran 8.10 to place fifth overall, and Torbor clocked a personal best time of 8.29 and finished in seventh.
Two Jags finished in the top four of the women's pole vault. Transfer Dianna Goodman podiumed for the third time in her career and the first time with the Jaguars, recording a clearance of 3.98 meters (13'.75"), moving Goodman to the Top 10 of the Jaguar record books and ranking her sixth. School record holder Alexis Gratia finished close behind Goodman in fourth with a season-best jump of 3.88 meters (12 '8 ¾").
Several other Jags finished just shy of the podium. Last year's Sun Belt Champion, Sebastian Loschner closed his conference career with South Alabama in the shot put with a fourth-place heave of 18.14 meters (59 '6 ¼").
Jordan Morrison wrapped up his indoor season with a fifth-place outing in the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:55.79.
On the women's side, Flora Dupans placed eighth in the shot put with a toss of 14.71 meters (48'3 ¼").

As a team, the Jaguars will look ahead to the beginning of Outdoor season, which will kick off at home at Jaguar Track for the South Alabama Invitational on Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15. A handful of other athletes will shift their focus to the NCAA Indoor Championships in Virginia Beach, Va. also on March 14-15.
