MOBILE, Ala. – The South Alabama Track and Field program is set to compete in the Sun Belt Indoor Track and Field Championships on Monday, Feb.24, and Tuesday, Feb.25 at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala.

The competition will begin the heptathlon events at 10 a.m. CT on Tuesday and will conclude at 4:45 p.m. CT on Wednesday with the Men's 4x400 meter relay.
Notes
- Three Jaguar teams are ranked in the top 20 in the country in the USTFCCCA event squad rankings.
- Kyle Rademeyer has four total Sun Belt Conference Championships and one runner-up finish in his career in the pole vault. He enters his final weekend of competition in a Jaguar uniform with the No.8 ranked mark in the country this season with a 5.60 meter (18'4.5") clearance to his name.
- Loschner continued his impressive start to the season by breaking the indoor shot put record for the third time in his career at the South Alabama Invitational, logging a throw of 18.15 meters (59 '6.75"), winning the competition and beating his previous record of 18.10 meters ( 59-3.75). Additionally, he moved into ninth place in the record books in the weight throw after posting a toss of 17.71 meters (58 '1.25"). Loschner was named Sun Belt Field Athlete of the Week after a fourth-place finish at the season-opening Samford Invitational in the shot put with a toss of 17.98 meters (59 '0).
- Three program records have fallen this indoor season: Sebastian Loschner: shot put 18.15 meters (59'6.75"), Kendal White: 60 meter hurdles (7.84), and Presleigh Montalvo's 60 meters 7.51.
- Five Jaguar Freshman have already etched their names into the South Alabama Record books.
- South Alabama's men's team finished in second place with 122 points at last year's Indoor Championships while the women's team took 12th place with 25 points. In total, South Alabama earned two first-place finishes in the meet and had eight athletes on the podium.
- Arkansas State made history by sweeping the Sun Belt Indoor Conference Championships for the fourth year in a row. The women's team earned 86.5 points, and the men's team recorded 144.5 points.
- Transfer thrower Flora Dupans etched her name into the Jags record books in the shot put, logging a throw of 14.95 meters (49 '0.75"), placing her sixth in the record books.
- Distance Runner Sacha Perrier won Newcomer of the Year last year after winning the championship title in the men's 5000 meters and logging a bronze medal in the 3000 meters.
