Former Jag Great Earns PVF All-Star Selection

MOBILE, Ala. | Former South Alabama great Hannah Maddux has been selected to compete in the 2025 Pro Volleyball Federation All-Star Match, slated for Saturday, February 22 at 12:30 pm (CT) at Fishers Event Center, home of Indy Ignite, PVF's newest franchise and will be broadcast nationally on CBS.

Maddux is one of four players from the Vegas Thrill to compete at the event on one of the two 12-person rosters. She will compete for Team Collier versus Team Shondell. Along with the Vegas Thrill, the Atlanta Vibe and Orlando Valkyries also had four selections.

Maddux and her Vegas Thrill teammates currently lead the PVF with a 7-2 record, and the outside hitter ranks fourth in the PVF in aces with 10 (0.30 per set).

The San Antonio, Texas, native was drafted by the Las Vegas Thrill with the 26th overall draft pick – the fifth pick in the fourth round – in the PVF's inaugural draft in 2023.

Maddux finished her 2023 campaign with 466 kills on a .258 hitting percentage, with 4.06 kills per set, which is third in the conference and 36th in the nation. During her time in Mobile, Maddux also recorded 54 service aces, which was tied for 16th in Division I, and helped the program make its first two NCAA tournament appearances over her final two seasons.

The 6-foot-2 outside hitter ended her career at South Alabama as one of the most prolific players in program history, finishing top-10 in career block assists and kills per set, and top five in total kills and total attempts, while also helping turn the program into a league contender.

Maddux earned back-to-back first-team all-conference honors in 2022 and 2023, while also being named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week twice in 2022. She also earned second-team all-league accolades in 2021.

All-Star tickets are available via Ticketmaster or the Fishers Event Center box office. For more information on the PVF All-Star Game and ticket availability visit ProVolleyball.com.
