FOLEY, Ala. – South Alabama Soccer (10-3-3, 6-1-3) is set to play Louisiana (7-6-4, 4-3-3) in the opening round of the Sun Belt Conference Championship at 4:30 p.m. on Monday at Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Ala.

SERIES HISTORY:
The Jags are 16-5-7 overall against the Ragin' Cajuns, their last match resulting in a 3-0 victory earlier this season on Sept. 13, 2025, at The Cage in Mobile, Ala.

SCOUTING THE JAGS:

• South Alabama heads into the match after a road win over Troy on Wednesday to close the regular season. Zamiyah Hill scored Wednesday's lone goal, and the shutout marked the Jags' fifth consecutive shutout this season (10th overall).
• Sierra Giorgio was named the Sun Belt's Goalkeeper of the Year on Monday. With Giorgio's award, the Jags have now had a player win a major Sun Belt award in 12 of the last 13 seasons.
• The Jags also had several make All-Conference, including Andrea Iljkic and Sierra Giorgio (First Team), Zamiyah Hill (Second Team) and Melina Descary and Amelia Campanella (Third Team).
• South Alabama ranks 11th nationally in shutout percentage (.625). The Jags lead the Sun Belt in said category, also leading the conference in goal differential (20), goals-against average (.688) and save percentage (.817).

SCOUTING THE RAGIN' CAJUNS:

• The Ragin' Cajuns come into Monday's match after a 1-2 loss against ULM, the Sun Belt's regular-season champion. Louisiana is the #8 Seed in the tournament.
• Louisiana had multiple players win Sun Belt awards, with Miku Kurihara winning Midfielder of the Year, Salma Elhaimer winning Newcomer of the Year and Carson Glenn winning Freshman of the Year.
