FOLEY, Ala. - South Alabama competed at the Sun Belt Conference Championships Friday morning. The women placed 10th in the 5k (13 teams), and the men finished 7th in the 8k (9 teams).

Charleen Elizondo placed third in the field setting yet another personal best with a time of 17:12.5. The junior earned First-Team All Conference honors with the finish after leading the Jaguar women through all five events this season.

On the men's side, Xavier Johnson led the Jaguars with a 10th place finish, and earned Second-Team All Conference honors with a huge 42-second personal best of his own (24:29.88).
