HARRISONBURG, Va. – South Alabama Soccer (8-3-2, 4-1-2) is on the road to face James Madison (7-3-5, 3-1-3) at 7 p.m. ET on Friday at Sentara Park in Harrisonburg, Va.
SERIES HISTORY:
The Jags are 0-1-2 overall against the Dukes, their last match resulting in a 2-2 draw on Oct. 31, 2024, at The Cage in Mobile, Ala.
SCOUTING THE JAGS:
- South Alabama heads into the match after a scoreless draw with Marshall at The Cage. Sierra Giorgio tied her career-high with six saves in the match.
- The Jags are ranked first in the conference in goal differential (17) and shutout percentage (.538) and are tied for goals-against-average (.846). They also rank second in scoring offense (2.15 goals per game) and third in win-loss-tied percentage (.692).
- Sierra Giorgio leads the conference in goals against average (.793) and shutouts (5). She also ranks second in save percentage (.800).
SCOUTING THE DUKES:
- JMU heads into the match after defeating Louisiana 3-2.
- Ginny Lackey, the Dukes' sophomore forward, leads the team in goals (10), assists (5), points (25) and shots (31). Lackey is ninth in the nation in game-winning goals (4), 12th in total points and 15th in total goals, leading the Sun Belt in each category.
