MOBILE, Ala.- The South Alabama soccer team battled out with Southern Miss in a 0-0 draw. 

The first half proved to be a defensive showdown between both sides, with neither team making a push offensively. The Golden Eagles created later opportunities in the half but were shut down by the stout Jag defense. 

The second half was a continuation of the first half with an impressive showing of defense from both sides, as well as an increase in physicality. South created several opportunities offensively and improved upon their attacking in the second half but struggled to get the ball in the net. The Jags strong defense held strong and kept the Golden Eagles at bay as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

South will be back in action as they head to Atlanta for another conference matchup against Georgia State.
