MOBILE, Ala.- The South Alabama Jaguars Soccer team fell 3-0 in their season opener against LSU. 

After a rocky start in which the visitors scored their lone three goal in the first 11 minutes of action, the Jags picked up the momentum late in the first half. South managed to find their stride as they created more offensive opportunities for themselves. 

The Jaguars impressed in the second half, keeping the Tigers at bay with stellar defense and an aggressive offensive mindset. South Alabama found many great opportunities as the second half winded down with several players making their presence felt.

"Once we settled down a little bit towards the end of the first half there were some good moments, I liked the character, I liked the response, I think they showed that they've got some spine and backbone and now we just have to take the positives out of this and just keep pushing forward". 

UP NEXT

The Jags will hit the road on Thursday, August 22 as they face Louisiana Tech in a non-conference matchup.
