The Boston Red Sox used the 207th overall pick to select Will Turner. Turner finished the season with 43 hits, 49 runs, and nine home runs, also finishing top-20 in the nation in walks, with 56. Turner started all 56 games for the Jags and batted .218 with a .409 on-base percentage. Defensively, Turner was a gem, logging a .994 fielding percentage through 154 chances.

Joseph Sullivan was taken not long after as the Houston Astros wrote his name in for the 223rd overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft. Sullivan played in 38 games, batting .266 for 34 hits, 35 runs, and nine homers. Sullivan finished with the second-most stolen bases, going 14 for 15 on the season and was second on the team in RBIs with 32.

The last time a Jaguar was selected in the seventh round was 2018, with Brendan Donovan going to the St. Louis Cardinals. Turner and Sullivan mark the 25th and 26th players drafted from South Alabama under Head Coach Mark Calvi.
