LAFAYETTE, La. -Â South Alabama's regular season ends on a loss with Louisiana ending things prematurely with a 13-3 run-rule.
Jaguar pitching was rocked all game, with the Ragin' Cajuns scoring in all six available innings. The Jags first responded in the top of the third with back-to-back hits by
Rett Johnson and Nate Wood for Johnson to score one.Â
Louisiana scored another five across the next three innings before South scored their other two runs. A
JG Bell single scored
Lucas Ismaili and
Brennan Holt in the top of the sixth. The Ragin' Cajuns scored two more of their own to put the run rule on the table. The Jags couldn't score any in the top of the seventh, ending the game early.Â

On dropping the regular season finale and having a quick turnaround: Yeah, you just tip your cap to them. They did a great job today. Jumped just right from the start.
